Ice Cream Playdate

Playdate with great friends! My friend Trish is a brave woman for giving 7 or so kids ice cream cones to run around her house with.

Run Away

If you see me heading towards a line at a grocery store pick a different one because I ALWAYS pick the slowest line.

Today I got behind one lady, one and boy did she have issues. I was behind her for 15 minutes. First she was waiting for something that they didn't have so we had to wait (check out was complete) until someone came to tell her that they didn't have the item. Ok, then not one but two cards were declined, ugh. Then, she had to go out to her car and get her check book, she came in and continued to TRY to write out a check. After forever she hands the check to the check-out girl who asks for her license, back out to her car to bring in her license. Back in, the girl is writing what ever on her check and the addresses don't match, shit already! Over to a manger where they say no not accepted, back over to the lady who has no other way to pay. At this point I'm starting to feel bad but ready to get the hell out at the same time. After a side talk with the woman and 2 other store personnel they accepted her check and off she went.

I should have picked the other line.

*Shaking Head*

Brandon taped the toilet lids together. For what reason I don't know. Apparently he has Bill's sense of humor.

Lots of Wash

You'll very rarely hear my complain about my children and messes. They're good kids and really for the most part have never made a huge mess until today.

I was on the computer and Sienna was next to me playing Bill's keyboard and singing....super cute. She jumps up and said she had to pee, great. She does very well with this, she goes in and does her thing with minimal help from mom. I get up about 30 or so seconds later to go see about the progress and my bathroom has been decorated in poop. Apparently she didn't realize she had to do "that". It's in the potty (yea) it's on the floor (not so good) and it's now all over her. On her legs, on her clothes and then come to find out all over her hands. I couldn't decide what to clean up first but I did pick Sienna. I was helping her off with her clothes and of course to stabilize herself she holds onto me. So now I'm covered in poop. I seriously have no idea what happened b/c I'm pretty sure she actually made it to the potty!? So, off with her clothes and now off with mine and I throw it in the washer (but didn't start it). This is important for later.

She up we go naked except for brandon and I put them in the bath. Were not off to a good morning but we have it under control now. Clean kids, smell good, all dressed so I go and take my shower. I go into my closet to get dressed and the kids follow me in which is normal. I walked out for maybe 15 seconds and Brandon comes running out with what looks like blood all over his arm and hand. Still not dressed I ask him repeatedly what happened because I thought he was hurt when I realize it's paint. Burnt Siena to be exact, ironic huh. Sienna had found a box that I had paint in, and had it everywhere. I'm pretty sure she thought it was lotion. I wash Brandon up quick and take his clothes off which are now covered in paint. So now were both half naked and Sienna has gone back into her room and is now playing perfectly clean. I go into my closet and there's paint on the carpet and nice Jackson Pollock type streaks on the bottom shelves where my shirts are. A few of the T-shirt I just throw out right away but then I notice that the pile of white shirts (I like white T's of every type and have a stack of them b/c I ware them all the time) are streaked with paint too. I take the stack of them and run down to the washing machine to see if I can get the paint out before it dries. Do you see where I'm going with this? Yes, Poopy clothes in the washer which I take out to now wash my shirts in. Ugh.

So now I have wrestled with poop, paint, cat puke and public toilets today and I'm ready for a break. My days really aren't like this but today, well, I think I'm being tested.

We all have our thing

I found this on another blog and loved it.

I forgot

I forgot how many trips to the potty you have to make while potty training...ugh.

Yea!

I haven't changed a poopy diaper in over a week. We're off to a good start.

My computer comes today, I'm so excited!

I Need More Power

We ordered a new computer today. I made my husband click the submit order button because I was ready to throw up. The computer is coming at a very good time to get a ton of new work done. My main computer is almost 10 years old and I'm not a fan on working on our laptop. I'm very excited for my new Mac to get here. It took me almost a week to order it, it may take another week for me to actually open the box.

"Oh, What Fun"

Heard from the back of the car the other night (Yes, it's February):

Oh, jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Elefun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh
Jingle bells, jingle bells
Jingle all the way
Elefun fun it is to ride
In a one horse open sleigh

"Brandon, it is not Elefun it's Oh, What fun."

By the way, this is Elefun:

I've been excited all week

Do you want to know why? I was excited because I was going to go to Wal-Mart this morning without my children. How sad is that. i always run all of my errands with both the kids and it's a little trying at times. Ok, sometimes it's just a circus. So I decided that I was going to take Saturday morning and go shopping by myself so I could look at some of the stuff that one doesn't get to look at with 2 kids in tow. I was there for 2 hours and I looked at all the lotions, potions and make-up. I perused the house-wear section and I did not go near the toy aisle. It was pretty wonderful at first until the other 5000 people that had to get their shopping done got there. I forgot how crazy it gets on a weekend. Anyway, it's the little things that get me excited I guess but all in all I would say that my morning was successful.

Out with the Black

My old page hurt my eyes. I'm liking this much better. I would much rather design my own but that would A: take time away from work I get paid for and B: more time to figure out how to do it. Oh well, I'll survive for now I guess.

On a side note: Brandon was driving me nuts today with the endless questions and I started mumbling to myself in the car. We were having lunch and he said, "Mom, you made me mad today." Why I asked. "Because you were talking so I couldn't hear you in the car and that was rude. You should never talk without me hearing you.

Missed Birthdays

I also missed blogging about BOTH of kids birthdays while I took my little break. I feel like a loser mom for that.

Back in the Saddle Again

I think I'm going to start to blog again.

My butt is going to be in this office chair for quite some time in the next few months. I had a meeting today with one of my clients and to be honest, I don't know how I'm going to get everything done. I know I'll start to panic soon but I've gotten done before and hopefully I'll be able to do it again and take care of 2 kids. I'm thankful for the work but sometimes when it rains it pours ya know!? I'm lucky that Brandon and Sienna like to play together and most of the time it's without screaming and hitting each other.

Chocolate for Christmas

To those of you sending us food for the holidays, please mark it "food". We came back tonight from dinner (which wasn't the best experience) to find a package ripped to shreds. Upon further examination I found that it was a Hershey Pot of Gold box with nuts, my favorite. So to further ruin my evening since I didn't enjoy much of my dinner I now will NOT be enjoying any chocolate this Christmas either. My dog can sniff out anything that seems even remotely eatable and eat it. You know how they say chocolate is bad for dogs, not mine. She can eat pounds of it at one time and be fine. I guess it was kind of my fault for putting it under the tree but "Damn-it Sadie!"

Toy Shopping

Brandon was in the toy section of a store yesterday and found a truck he just had to have. "Now Mom, I know my Birthday is coming soon but I really think that I should just take this home with me today and not wait."
